David Carlin King, Founder and Senior Producer, is a much sought after producer and director for film, conventions, trade shows, industrial shows, and live concerts. His professional awards include "Best Event - Events Magazine," for his Broadway quality creation and production of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers 100th Anniversary, "Dare to Dream." He has produced project documentary and promotional pieces for British Aerospace, the Air Force Association, the National Association of Black Colleges and numerous benefits with well-known celebrities. David was the Executive Producer and Director of the Oprah Winfrey "Live Your Best Life Tour," a product launch of Samsung cell phones, and a "Tribute to New York" for the Travel Industry Association of America. His segment, "Remembering a Friend, A Tribute to Ronald Reagan" received the 2005 Telly Award for Best Documentary and Best in Non-Profit.

David’s professional career also spans song writing, scoring, and music directing in 27 countries with such greats as Winton Marsallis, Kenny Rogers, Roberta Flack, and Ben Vereen. He scored "The Cesar Chavez Story" with Martin Sheen and music directed video promotions for "Mary Wilson of The Supremes;" The Horatio Alger Awards with Ed McMahon, David Foster and Kenny G; and the world premier of the national tour of "Ladies of Note," featuring Roberta Flack, Judy Collins, Melissa Manchester, Susan Anton, Nell Carter, and Rita Moreno.

George King III, Executive Producer, brings over 30 years of experience in the entertainment industry. He is an award-winning film and video producer/director who received the 2002 Gold Telly Award and the 2002 Silver Telly Award. He recently produced four television specials for network broadcast: The Legacy of Hope Awards from the Century Plaza Hotel, NBA Veterans vs. The Rookies from the Staples Center, The Big Bad Music Special from Studio Center Los Angles, and the Magic Johnson Comedy Roast from the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. The founder of the media production company Olde Towne Productions and Diadem Music Group (Diadem Records and Tribute Records), George produced the nationally syndicated television program “Clear and Free”, as well as many television commercials, industrial theater presentations, and live concerts. As a music executive, he has signed or marketed artists whose combined records have won 15 Grammy Awards, 45 Dove Awards and 20 Stellar Awards and sold more than 30 million records.

In 2002, George became a founding partner of Dove Canyon Films. As a producer of television programming, he has produced and directed a television series, as well as six nationally syndicated television specials. Under his supervision the company has acquired rights to develop four original screenplays, including Butterfly Kisses, Saint X Prep, and Saucer and Flying Tigers. He wrote and directed the company’s first feature “Sting Moment of Truth” distributed by Image Entertainment.

Marilyn Bagel, Senior Writer and Producer, is a versatile scriptwriter for major events and videos, a playwright, and author who has been putting words in the mouths of high-profile people for years. From creating dramatic highpoints to comedic moments, she has an innate ability to get into their minds and hearts. Among the many show hosts and narrators on stage and screen for whom Marilyn has written are David Hyde Pierce, Joan Cusack, Linda Ellerbee, James Earl Jones, Kathleen Turner, Willard Scott, and Ed McMahon. Marilyn scripts the Women in Cable Telecommunications awards and the Alzheimer’s Association galas in Washington, DC and Chicago. Her video tribute to President Ronald Reagan won a 2005 Telly Award. For Career Communications Group, she scripts the National Women of Color Technology Awards and Black Engineer of the Year Awards. Marilyn was the scriptwriter for the American Advertising Federation Hall of Fame and Hall of Achievement Awards and the Horatio Alger Awards.

Marilyn wrote two plays performed by Imagination Stage’s WINGS! COMPANY, an ensemble of adult actors with disabilities. “I Thought the Rain Was Supposed to Stop” (2004) and “Love Is a Disability” (2003) each tackles life’s challenges with Marilyn’s typical blend of humor, poignancy, and universality. She also wrote the screenplay “Imagine Working,” funded by the U.S. Department of Education, which creatively instructs people with disabilities in how to find employment.

Jerry Philpott, Director of Sales and Marketing, brings 18 years of technical engineering and sales to The Carlin Company. His career began with a four-year tour of duty in the Navy that took him across the United States and Europe. He worked both in the Pentagon and The White House. Jerry secured a Computer Engineer and Business degree with honors from Strayer Business College. Armed with computer engineering and sales skills, he is an accomplished computer engineer who has designed and built networks for the Department of Energy, Internal Revenue and the Department of the Army. At the Department of the Army, Jerry built out the network for the entire Army Military Police System in the United States and the Far East. He later received commendations for doing the same at the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Energy. Jerry migrated from engineering to sales in 1992 with positions at Cabletron and AT&T. He has been a valuable asset of The Carlin Company Sales and Marketing force for five years.

David Hoover, Senior Technical Producer, brings his high level of expertise to The Carlin Company in all disciplines of live event production. His career runs the gamut from concert touring, large arenas and charity events to conventions with large and small general sessions. David has been General Manager for RCI Sound Systems of the mid-Atlantic and Southwest Regional Manager for the Southeast Regional Manager for PRG Video and Audio. From his live events for large trade unions, television, and broadcasts on the Washington, DC Mall, David occupies an invaluable seat at The Carlin Company production table.

Kristie Culler, Meetings and Events Coordinator, is a proven expert in the meetings and events industry. She began her career as a Project Coordinator for Experient, organizing the conference registration process for major groups including IAEM, The American Heart Association, and Hanley-Wood. She transitioned into full-scale meeting and event planning with Career Communications Group in Baltimore, Maryland where she served as Manager of Events and Conferences. During her tenure she was in charge of the company’s three annual international conferences and black tie events, including The Black Engineer of the Year Awards and The National Women of Color Technology and Business Awards. Masterfully detail oriented, Kristie brings a level of professionalism to Carlin Company clients that is second to none. In addition to her corporate expertise, she is an accomplished choreographer.

Steve Porter, Producer/Technical Director, has been producing and providing technical direction for meetings and events for more than 20 years. His wide-ranging capabilities enable him to direct complex projects from concept to conclusion. Steve began his career in broadcast and soon moved to meetings and events as a national account manager for Projection Technology. He is an expert in every aspect of conference and event planning, production, and implementation, with more than 100 national and international events to his credit, including a large number pharmaceutical companies and associations. Among his many show credits are Rite Aid, American Psychiatric Association, Roche Labs, and Service Star/Ryder. Steve brings his goal-oriented leadership capabilities to the Carlin Company as a highly motivated producer and a detail-directed problem solver with proven ability to multitask in unison with clientele, staff, and governing boards. His expertise provides continuity and polish to every Carlin Company event.

Richard Greenberg, Senior Video Producer, has been in video production for over 20 years. He is accredited by the American Film Institute in Hollywood California, and the Sony Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA, and New York City. He is a member of the National Association of Broadcasters and the ITVA. His credits include numerous productions for corporations and associations such as Dupont, NASA and a host of others. Richard is skilled in aerial video work with Tyler Mount stabilizing systems and hand held shooting using Bell Jet Ranger Helicopters. Besides being a Senior Producer, he is a highly accomplished camera operator specializing in Steadicam and Jimmy Jib camera crane. You’ve seen his work in many commercials and music videos. Richard continues to produce work for The Carlin Company at the highest levels.

Howard Lockie, Line Producer, is an accomplished professional. He has an extensive background in theater and television as both a director and actor. He taught at the Lee Strassberg Theatre Institute for more than four years and starred opposite Tom Arnold and Linda Hamilton in the feature film “The Kids and I.” In the late 90s, Howard turned his attention to the meetings and events industry as a line producer and coordinator for The Carlin Company’s medical and trade union clients. Though he works throughout the country, Howard predominantly covers The Carlin Company’s events on the West Coast. His artistic and technical excellence is an invaluable asset.

Stephen King, Video Producer and Graphic Animation Artist, has been an integral part of making The Carlin Company what it is today. His dedication to excellence and his keen abilities turn every project into a success story. With 13 years, he possesses raw artistic skill and the latest in technical expertise. His talents include high level broadcast and industrial video editing, complex video animation, and graphic design. He has produced and edited hundreds of videos, multimedia presentations, and corporate events for clients across the globe, including NASA, Dupont, Ford Motor Company, Amoco and a host of others.
