Oprah Winfrey’s
“Live Your Best Life Tour”
When “O” Magazine premiered, Hearst Magazines and Oprah Winfrey sought to mount and launch a multi-city, live tour to promote the magazine. Oprah requested the ability to have a person in the audience projected with her simultaneously on two different screens right and left. Video and graphic content was to appear on a third center screen. Using cutting edge video switching technology, The Carlin Company took venues for 10,000 plus attendees and created a format that was intimate, highly affective, and extremely memorable. The event garnered huge acclaim.
Alzheimer’s Association
When the Alzheimer’s Association National Capital Area Chapter asked us to collaborate with their team on their National Gala, we helped them establish their 2004 inaugural event and every annual gala since with a content-rich program that continues to inspire their influential audience of political and corporate leaders and philanthropists. The Carlin Company received two Telly Awards for “Remembering a Friend: A Tribute to Ronald Reagan, featuring Michael Deaver, which premiered at the 2005 gala. This year’s gala featured host Chris Matthews and the premier of The Carlin Company’s award winning documentary “A Tribute To My Father” with Laura Bush.
American Society of
Cataract and Refractive Surgery
In 1999, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery tasked The Carlin Company with creating an “Academy Awards” for ophthalmologists, “The Ophthalmology Hall of Fame.” Each year since then, a committee of medical experts nominates and selects worthy members of the ophthalmic community whose contributions to the field have been monumental. The Carlin Company creates historically significant documentaries about the honorees and produces the annual gala event at which these honors are presented. The event has become one of the most significant in the field. Because of their historical importance, the documentaries are distributed to the medical teaching universities throughout the United States and abroad.
Association of Zoos and Aquariums The newest addition to The Carlin Company collection of events is the Association of Zoos and Aquariums Annual Conference. The Association along with its new branding decided to take the event entirely in house. The Carlin Company was chosen to help plan and design a new model for their conference. This included production design, creative direction, video production, union labor management, and staffing. The conference with host Sigourney Weaver took place at Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia to rave reviews.
Perdue Farms This year in a strategic partnership with long time colleagues and friends at Cornerstone Media Productions, The Carlin Company was asked to help create and develop a highly motivational conference for its sales force. From sharply crafted motivational media segments, to studio filmed music videos that included company employees, this Sales Meeting proved to be of one the most effective events that Perdue has ever produced.
